Is this a video card problem?

Monitor suddenly loses signal while playing game, the tower still has power.
Restarting computer but only works in safe mode, monitor loses signal when the window's finishes the load screen.

I am using the EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB that is factory overclocked.

If it is, which video card should I replace it with? (Budget $350-400) Currently using a Asus P5K mobo with Intel Q6600.

I would suggest getting the latest drivers and monitoring your GPU temps. You could be overheating. Doesn't that card have a limited lifetime warranty with EVGA? I would focus on fixing what you've got, since that card is still decent, even with the relatively anemic VRAM.

That said, a budget of $400 would get you top-end card right now except the GTX 295 or the Radeon 4870 X2.
