Is this a scam?

I came home an hour ago and found a notecard on my Dad's '95 Ford Ranger. It stated to call a number if my Dad was interested in selling it. The name on the card wasn't of any of my neighbors, so was this guy just cruising the neighborhood looking for a car?

The car's good condition and hasn't had any problems, but why would someone randomly ask if the car was for sale? Is this common at all?

I've gotten two on my car in the time I've had it. I just called the numbers and told them that I wasn't interested in selling it yet. They were just ordinary people who liked it and were interested in buying it. Not a scam.

Happens all the time. Someone sees something they want, leaves a number. If your dad is the least bit interested in selling it, call the guy.
