Is this a safe setting for my Geforce 6800 GT ???

I have a pny geforce 6800gt

I clicked the "detect optimal settings" button in my nvidia control panel and it clocked me to:

434 mhz core and 1.16 gig mem.

Is this safe? Cause if it is...WOW.....

Also in my options it says the core is around 40c and has a auto slow down of 125c isent that a bit hot?
it wont let me change the cool down temp.
any idea?

if it works right now at that setting, then it should be safe.

If you really want to be sure, run it through 3dmark05, and look very carefully for graphical glitches. Espceially on the forrest test.
