Is this a quality power supply

My new rig will be delivered on the 31st and I found out I bought a garbage power supply. After reading how important it is to have a good power supply I ordered a Corsair Professional Series Gold AX750 watt Power supply to replace it.
I was wondering if this is sufficient power for my build, and if it is a quality power supply that wont need to be replaced very soon.

CPU: AMD Phenom™II X6 1055T Six-Core CPU 2.8GHz

mobo: [CrossFireX] GigaByte GA-970A-D3 AMD 970

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB

You're asking if Corsair's highest-end power supply, that comes with 7 year warranty, is a quality unit...? Since you're a new poster I'm going to assume it's a serious question. The answer is that it is the best 750W power supply you can buy at the moment.

FWIW that PSU is waaaaaay overkill for your setup. You'd have been fine with a good 500-600W 80+ bronze unit that costs 1/3 to 1/2 the price of AX750. I would get my money back and save the cash for something more useful

it's a good power supply, but you probably only need ~330 watts (from the wall) under full load
750 watts is a bit excessive, so if you want to save some money a 500w psu should be enough

edit: doh i was too slow hah

Yes, that's a VERY GOOD power supply. It's gross overkill for your system, but other than the initial purchase price being significantly higher than an appropriately sized unit for your system, there's nothing wrong with buying one. It may never draw enough power to hit its peak efficiency, but even that's not likely to be off by more than a few percent.

OP, there are power supplies available that are more appropriately sized for your system's needs...many are as good of quality as the Corsair...some made by Corsair, others by XFX, Seasonic, and even Antec...
