Trying to figure out what possable motherboard I can use for this processor but iam not sure what this is exactly. Its a Pentium 4 at 3.0 it has 1 meg of cache ram and is 90nm and is model 530. Oh its sockett 775
So from what i wrote above is that a prescott cpu?
When i go to newegg to pick out a mother board if i pick what type of cpu the motherboard takes i get the choices below.
Pentium4/celeron
Pentium4 EE HT / pentium 4/ celeron
Pentium4 prescott /celeronD
Pentium D/ Pentium 4 HT/ celeronD

if its a precott i get more choices
I went to intels web site and its so poorly organized i cant figure out what i have for sure.

Practically any socket 775 board available from newegg will support that chip.

Prescott, also known as Preshott for the temperatures cranked out.

the stock clocked socket 478 3.4 ghz 800mhz FSB i used to have 5 yrs ago was HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

It had a HUGE thermaltake cooler on it and still hit 80C+ and in the summer 90C+

had to RMA it once because if had heat damage.
