Is this a painting or a photo?

I can't view it here (my issue, not the link) but it could be a "painted picture." It's like using a picture as a template and painting over it to create a painting effect...lots of photography studios do it these days (digital, Corel Painter IX) but in the past it was done with paint and a brush, old skool style.

I believe Amused is correct. We have a bunch of old photos which resemble that tint back home at the farm house.

Yep, I have some of my mother from the 30s, 40s and early 50s.

And her family has them dating back to the early teens before WWI.

And her family has them dating back to the early teens before WWI.
Very interesting. We found a photo album back home in a linen closet, underneath a bunch of old puzzle boxes and junk. It's amazing to look through - just to see the clothing styles, the facial expressions, the backgrounds... just looking back and thinking what life was like is pretty cool.

My Mom and dad's stories from the depression were amazing. That really sucked.
