Is this a motherboard problem?

My computer stopped working and it seems to be a RAM problem. Whenever I have both sticks in my board no boot, no beeps. But if I have just one (and either one seems to work) everything goes fine. Is there anything I can do to test to see if one of my slots is dead or to see if something is conflicting without sending it back? Thanks!

I can run both sticks if I just use channel B. If I try to use dual channel, no post. I downloaded and ran memtest86 for about 9 hours with no errors, but the ram did get pretty toasty. Any ideas? Are there any settings I should tweak to get the other channel working or is the mobo fried?
 
Well, put one stick in one slot. Test. Works, then put it in other slot. Works? Your other stick of RAM is dead. Repeat with other stick.
 
Could there be any settings I would need to change to get my comp working using both sticks or would it just be a problem with my Mobo. Everything was working fine for a month or so after the initial build. I can fire up the computer with either stick in the B1 slot but when I put a stick in the B1 and A1 slot all I get are spinning fans.
 
I'm at work right now. But let me make sure I understand. Try each stick separately in each of the slots? Should my computer be able to start up regardless of what slot a single stick of ram is in? I thought it had to be in a certain slot if I was running a single stick?

Try one single stick in every slot on the board. If the board fails to post when the stick is in certain slots, but works in others, then the board is bad and needs to be replaced. I just bought a motherboard that has a bad DIMM slot. I had one stick in slot 1 and another in slot 3 running dual channel fine for one day. The next day it was only recognizing one stick of ram and not the other, so I started testing each slot individually and found slot 1 had completely died, but 2 3 and 4 were still working fine.
