Question Is this a legitimate SSD?

Hi guys,

Won a MX500 on eBay, says brand new in box.

However the packaging seems different to all others out there, can't tell if it's legitimate or a refurbished unit or what.

Pictures attached.

It's quite hard to tell if anything is wrong with the packaging, given that you uploaded screenshots of your photos rather than the photos themselves. But keep in mind that different parts of the world may get the same drive in different packaging.

As far as I can tell there is no resource to verify serial numbers for crucial.

Your 2nd* best option would be to contact crucial and ask them to verify the serial number:

*the best option would have been to purchase the drive from a supplier that does not routinely deal in counterfeit goods
