Is This a Hardware Modem?

damn...

Should i just get a v90 hardware modem from Newegg for 40 bucks? Or is v92 so much better that it warrants an additional 20-30 dollarS?

I doubt you would ever notice the difference between the two. Go with the cheaper..

V92 lets you do 56K uploads, which you do notice right away.

I would get that v92 for 11 bucks...

but I got the NETODRAGOn from them (10 bucks) and this modem is crap at best...

they say its base on a lucent chipset, but its really SM52, but SM doesn't recognzie it...ugh its horrible.

and the website www.netodragon.com is a JPG image from the Tawisamese Company whose server is hosted in Canada....

I need something that REALLY works b/c I don't want to get f00ked

That Blitzz modem I linked you to @ Newegg has the Lucent/Agere SV92 chip. I have been using one for about two months now with Windows XP. My ISP is V.92 compliant and the difference is very noticeable. I did have to download the new firmware from www.iblitzz.com but everything else works out of the box.
