Is this a good video card?

I found it for only $135 after mail in rebate. I'm probobly going to switch it after Nvidia comes out with a DX10 video card, good idea? Does that card have a good price to performance ratio? Thanks.

at $135, the card is a steal. Normally, that's the price X1600XTs sell around. If you don't mind the lack of Shader Model 3.0, its a very good card. And as a stopgap solution while waiting for something better, it is absolutely awesome (dunno about Oblivion performance though).

I don't really like Oblivion much, I'm going to use the video card mostly for battlefield 2 which it performs well in,is the 8 series is scheduled for late 2006, to be timed with vista?

That card should be great in BF2. I usta use a X800XT and it was great even at 1920x1200 with 0 AA though... No ideea about Vista and DX10 though. We'll see if it slips dates again.
