Is this a good TV?

Looking to replace my 22" TV that I realise I never actually use anymore because it's so small in the room I'm currently living in. The only place that I can put a new TV is on a chest of drawers so there is a size limit of how big/heavy it can be. There's also a cost limit too as I'm not exactly made of money at the moment!

Is this a good deal? Sharp FHD 40" LED TV for £179.

Looks too good to be true, but I can't seem to find any obvious catch when reading the specifications. All other TVs with these specifications are £70-120 more expensive. I'm very tempted. Here it is;

Just delivered today. Only minor complaint is that the black levels are so deep that in dark scenes I can't easily make out what's happening in the shadows. I imagine it's a problem that plagues all budget TV's. It definitely beats my old TV in both picture & sound quality.

It was only £157.50 with Clubcard discount. The same TV on Amazon is going for £289 so it appears I stumbled across a bargain from Tesco. So I'm happy with that! With the remaining money I've saved from that I'm buying a soundbar to go with it 🙂

It sounds like you need to do some picture adjustments at least with contrast/brightness.
