Do you think this system will do good for gaming and such?

Intel LGS 775 Pentium 4 540 3.2 Ghz
Intel 925X chipset motherboard "BOXD925XCVLK"
ATI Radeon X700 256MB Video Card
2-Kingston ValueRAM 240-pin 512MB DDR2 PC2-4200
Samsung 160GB SATA 7200RPM hard drive
Samsung 12X DVD+RW, Model TS-H542A
ANTEC Series ATX Mid-Tower Case with 350W Power supply
ViewSonic E70 17' CRT Monitor

What should I change / upgrade / not need. This system is about 1300, i dont want to spend much more than that.

If you are a gamer than the AMD64 is the only way to go. If you really want PCI-ex I would wait a few weeks and the AMD64's will have PCI-ex support. The AMD64's beat the Intel's rather badly until you get to video card limitations at higher resolutions which you won't be hitting on that 17inch monitor so I would say that the AMD64 3200+ will smoke your 3.2 option. DDR2 shows no performance increase over DDR1 at this point. You can overclock the DDR1 as well to reach DDR2 frequencies with lower latencies

Nowhere does it say Apple on it, so it can't be good.

If you own this system and you're a gamer. Keep it, it's fine.

If you're looking to buy a system, buy an AMD 64.

If you own this system and have money to blow, buy an AMD 64.
