Other than the firmware update process which some people complained about, I have read nothing but good things about the Samsung 470.

I wish Anand would post a review.

from the benchmarks i've seen the 470's main strength is it's write performance, it's among the best in that regard.

i've been wondering too.
i've seen dell 470s occasionally on ebay for $150-160 and have been tempted to buy

Thank you for the feedbacks. I went ahead and got one. For $219 it seems like a good deal as long as it's the quality that I expect from Samsung.

The last firmware update is non-destructive now. I've got 2 - 256gb in laptop, and just put the 128gb in the desktop.

Thanks, I thought I had read that somewhere, the reviews and Info on this drive are really kind of sparce, that I can find anyway, but they do all seem to be quite favorable.
