im going to be building a new rig soon. well as soon as the nf4 sli boards come in stock. i was wondering if anybody has used one of these power supplies before or heard anything about the company that makes them. everything about this psu seems to be just right. but i just wanted a second opinion

link

just some quick specs
AC Input: 100~240VAC 10.7/6.2A 50/60Hz
Max Peak Power Output: 600W
Total Power Output: 550W
+3.3V: 35A
+5V: 50A
+12V: 30A
-5V: 1A
-12V: 1A
+5VSB: 3A

i forgot to add. i really like the modular psu's best than the standard just for looks

Look at higher-end Enermaxes, Antecs, Seasonics, and OCZs; I've never heard of Super Flower, so I would stay away, not knowing their quality. Even on an SLI system, a $190 PCP&C is overkill, though. You can get similar quality and the power you need for a little more than half the cost of the TurboCool 510 mentioned above.

TTGI is supposed to be mid-range to upper mid-range in quality. If you're going to spend $85 on a PSU, I'd personally go with the trusted names like Antec, Enermax, Fortron/Sparkle, and PC Power and Cooling. I don't think you'd really go wrong with the PSU that you picked though. It seems to be a good value--you'll be hard pressed to find something with those kind of power ratings made by one of the aforementioned brands for the same price.

I've ordered from Xoxide before, but my order was for a dollar's worth of fan screws, so I can't say much about them except that they were fine that one purchase.

I've got a 480W Tagan PSU w/ BTX comp.
The PSU was a really pleasant surprise. All the cables were twisted and gold plated, stable voltages and a low sound level. I also got 5 cable assemblers and a 24-20-pin converter for ATX backwards compability.
I also liked the SATA power cables.
There really was a smell of quality to this PSU.
Here's a link to the PSU on newegg:

The OP keeps asking about good PSU's for NForce 4. I don't see any distinction between a PSU that is good for NForce4 from a PSU that is good for any Athlon 64 system. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong on this. Regarding those 2 PSU's--I don't have any direct knowledge of them, but they're both made by trusted companies, so you should be fine with either one. OCZ isn't one of my own preferred brands, but other people seem to like them. I personally like Antec.

NF4 can also mean SLI (the OP did mention he was looking at an SLI board), which will have significantly different power requirements than today's "normal" system due to two graphics cards.

Those two seem fine; I'd probably take the Antec for no reason.

If this was in Hot deals they would be sold out in minutes. I know that in a few weeks it will be just average but today it is Hot.
