Is this a good product HP DVD Movie Writer dc3000?

HP DVD Movie Writer DC3000

I'm wanting to copy my VHS tapes to a DVD. It says this will work.
Is there a product that you would recommend that's better than this.

Seriously, my sister-in-law is thinking about buying one, I looked around for reviews and it sounded like it does a good job.

You might consider buying it somewhere like Circuit City which has an excellent return policy, in case you're not happy with it.

There are other ways to do it, basically you need a DVD burner and a way to input video and sound from your VCR. This unit has both of those builit-in to an external unit which makes it very easy to set up.

A cheaper alternative is an internal DVD burner and a video capture card, which would cost around $150 for both, or possibly less, but might not be as easy to use.
