is this a good price for a used HDTV?

Guy's selling me a ISF calibrated Toshiba TW40X81 for $1000. I'm seeing a 56X81 go for $1300, but it's not ISF calibrated. I kind of want to drive the price down to about $900, but I'm not sure if that's too much to ask or not. This is a local sale, and the TV is in very good condition.

IFS calibration won't mean much after you move it to your house.

You'll definitely need to get it recalibrated after the move.

Also, if the previous owner cared enough to get it ISF calibrated, then you know it should have some life left in it.

The only reservation that I would have when buying used equipment is the lack of warranty. For that much money, I'm not one to risk it.

why would i need it to be recalibrated - it's not like the walls of my room have anything to do with the picture (as it does with speakers and sound)

would moving the tv at all move the convergence, etc. etc. out of place?
