Is this a good performance for my 3400+ and X700 Pro?

Hey, this is kind of cool. I got a Connect3D X700 Pro when they were on sale for $100 US on Tigerdirect.com and Tigerdirect.ca had them for $135 CDN (I know, the exchange rate seems unfair but I think that's why they don't charge duty). And I got an Athlon 3400+ 2.4 GHz when compuvest had them on sale for $163 US. (Oddly enough, with the shipping and duty, in Canadian dollars it was actually around $270 CDN.)

Anyway, I have a screenshot but it doesn't look as good at in the game. What do you think? It actually shows over 150 fps in that screenshot even though that's not really the average.

This at 1268x1024 with highest quality settings:

UT2k4 is more cpu bound than video card. It's kinda diffficult to say for sure how well you compare since I could snap a screenie of similar FPS with my lesser system(although in a different Map), the best way to determine it would be for you to run a commonly used Testdemo. I suspect though that your scores will rank quite high in UT2k4 benchmarks.

Yeah, you think THAT'S impressive. Someone asked me to run AS-Convoy to see how low the frame rates would dip. Well, they dipped down to the 50's when I took a screenshot. I believe that was like the lowest I saw (except for a brief second right after I clicked to start playing but I still have 1 GB of RAM so that was just a fraction of a second perhaps).

And this one from another map (from the planetunreal.com community bonus pack):

Ah, just noticed your specs dude. UT2004 is very CPU dependant. So, it's the other way around for me (powerful CPU, less powerful GPU) and it works great.

Of course the game is CPU dependant (especially my cpu) but it runs great, no choppiness either :)
