not everyone is technically advanced to DIY or OC...Cut him some slack...
If you came to realize that on your own, then you should have been able to weed out the fluff on your own and get some good advice (such as Duvie's post). Looks like you did, and you bought. Good for you. As for mostly AMD enthusiasts, you are right, but you may not know why, kinda like 42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything, but unfortunately we didn't quite know the proper question. Why many here like AMD chips is that at this time AMD represents the best value and technology for most people. Why Intel still outsells AMD is two reasons. Notebooks and Dell. Notebooks are around half the market and most use Intel chips (few people would argue that to be a bad choice prior to the recent Turion). Dell sells more computers than any other company, and because Intel knows this, Intel gives Dell a sweeter deal than any other OEM to keep Dell all Intel.Problem is i came to a site where the people are helpful......, but are also the kind of people that care about the difference of 7 seconds when encoding a video or something and are mostly amd enthusiasts.
Anyone offended with the details can argue with me. I just call it as I see it.
