I'm looking to get a new monitor in the $500-600 range. My use will be

1. gaming (HL2, BF, etc)
2. Normal home usage (word processing, surfing, etc)
3. Used for photographic editing for a hoby of mine.

I'm currently on a 18" viewsonic PF790 that I've enjoyed for years, but I want to have a larger screen area, with a high natural res, and good everyting. Let me know if you have used this monitor, or if you have a good suggestion for an alternative.
 
I'd recommend the LG L2000C instead. It should have better viewing angles and colors and equivalent response time. It will actually have larger Windows desktop real estate than that monitor because it's a 4:3 aspect ratio.
