Is this a good major for college?

I am starting school in January and was planning to major in Business Technologies, Information Technology Its an associates degree since its a community college but after I plan to transfer to a 4-year college to get my Bachelors Degree. I have been hearing from alot of people that majoring in something that involves computers is dead-end since it will be hard after to find a good paying job.

Below are some courses that are needed


- Introduction to Visual Basic for Business
- C/C++ Programming for Business
- RPG/400 Programming
- Java for Business Applications
- Web Development Using HTML

Welcome to the forums! If I were you I would figure out what I wanted to get my Bachelors in, find schools that offer it, then work backwards to see if this associates degree will prepare you (and is transferable) for their program.
