Was just curiuos. Iono why, but OP doesn't seem like the type that would use it. Maybe I'm confusing him with another member.

I have a kabar in my bug out bag but generally use a gerber hatchet for woodsy stuff.

I've gone through a few of these- they tend to last through a couple of shanked sternums, but they wear out more quickly than other knives.

ka-bar is nice but unless you have a decent reason to get one, I wouldnt bother.

Redfraggle has an awesome knife but Ill be damned if I can remember who made it, pricey though, iirc

they cant hold an edge worth shit.

they're mostly good for digging. grunt work you wouldnt subject your better knives to.

(this is gathered from conversations with the SERE instructors i talked to. i've never used one.)

the knives i use are mostly buck, with leatherman being the only multitool i use.

that's one of the potential uses of it, but it's not exclusively designed for that.

its not a benchmade, and a few companies make really expensive knives. ill check my pms and see if i still have the address, i asked her for it after the meet
