Is this a good Idea?

My friend was telling me that I should go into a Lilttle bussiness w/him and we would buy mass computer parts and build computers and then resell them for a lower cost than retail. But is doing this good because we would need a tech support and we would need to give warrentys on the computers..Could someone tell me if they ever tried this or what not

Horrible idea. You will never be able to buy as massively as Dell.

Trying to cut cost to the bone won't pan out for you in the long run.
Maybe you could focus on higher end systems, built with high quality components for people who don't mind spending some cash for quality.
Build them with rock solid parts and offer good tech support. Don't build systems you can't make money on... It's a losing game.

Not everyone wants a generic $250 PC.
