No way.. its only rated for 1000mhz, I doubt it could even cool 500mhz. Looks like a piece of junk to me. Go with the Thermalright SK-6 for high clocked Athlons.

Look at the CFM... 8?!? And the thermal resistance... .6? That thing will overheat quicker than your average junior high school boy at the new Tomb Raider movie...

hmmmmmm...but at this comparison, the SK6 is rated at .62 C/W on a 4200rpm fan, and .57 with a 7000rpm fan...

did the two sites measure resistance differently or something?

Yes, all sites results are different because they use different methods for measuring temps. The sk6 has been rated as low as .16 c/w. Why so different, I don't know. Each site has different expanations for their c/w measurment. Put that cooler on this site and you could probably remove the . in front of the 6 ;)
