I want to OC is this a cool heatsink to use?? I hear there are fitment issues with this one though.
ThermalRight SLK-900

I was looking at this one for an alternative
ThermalRight SLK-800U

I plan on running this fan:
Vantec Tornado 80mm, 84.1 CFM @ 55.2 dBA 5700 RPM, 3 Pin.

Any other idea's??? I have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe

better get some sound dampening material in ur case :)...thjat is going to be loud :)

slk-900U and slk-800U are nearly identical i believe so either would be a good choice. remember the
artic silver ceramique (easier to put on/off than ASIII , same if not better thermal conductivity and cheaper! )

have a nice nite..err morning

Yes, in your case get the 800U and Tornado. The 900U will not fit your motherboard. The 900A is a good choice too, it fits 92mm fans, and has a sturdy 3-Lug clip mechanism.

:)

I agree with the SLK-800, but if you would like to save a little money bu not risk losing performance..

Go with the Vantec AeroFLow,

Keeps me at a cool 47-49C under load.

i hate to say this but i like to suggest the thermaltake smart fan 2 with all the slk's and the sk-7. it gives you 74 cfm at only 4800 rpm and is self adjuting based on temp so it isn't always running as loud.

You can now get the Zalman 7000cu for Intel or AMD mounting, and it cools better than the SLK900. I think it can be picked up for less than $40, and has the 92mm fan built-in included.

Yea I dont mind the sound, I dont have my PC on all the time and its not in my room. How does this fan know how to self adjust??? Yea I will be going with the 800.

I thought the same thing until I got that Vantec Tornado 92mm beast...loudest damn thing I've ever heard...and I thought that the Black Label Delta's were loud! I would get the Smart Fan II, which I ended up doing, and you will get a much quiter enviornment while also only gaining possibly a degree or two in temperature. Trust me, I had one of these and they are great fans, but mine is now sitting in a box instead of in my computer...
