I'm pretty new with gaming PC and I've always been a gamer. I have this old computer and now I felt like upgrading and I was wondering if this was a good gaming PC where I can run pretty much everything on high/ultra resolution.

Is this a prebuilt, or are these parts you have?

The i7 is largely unnecessary, you could easily do with an i5.

Confused about the RAM... you have 8GB or 4GB?

The GTX760 may not be enough to run some modern games on ultra, but it's not a bad card (I have one.)

Life is miserable without a SSD, also the GTX 760 is a little anemic for 1080p in newer games. If you want to go balls out is settings you need a GTX 970 or 980

4770K is LAST year's CPU. I bet they want like $1500 for this P.O.S. prebuilt am I right? You can build something that will beat it for just over $1000. Post in General Hardware and ask for the best gaming build for "X" budget. Make sure to specify whether you need a copy of windows.

It would play pretty much any game at decent settings, but the gpu is a bit weak. If you are thinking of buying it and can modify the parts, you would do better to go with a 4690k and put the money saved toward a faster gpu.

And yes, depending on the price, you could probably build something better yourself. Or even get a cheaper pre-built and upgrade the power supply and add a good gpu.

The 760 is still decent for 1080p, but the 970 can be had for not a lot more and it's about 50% faster and more futureproof.

If this is prebuilt I would highly suggest looking for another model.
If not, change the i7 for an i5 4690k.
The RAM is a lilbit confusing. Is it one 8GB DIMM and one 4GB DIMM? Or is it 8GB, or is it 4GB? 😛

If you're just playing games 8GB is enough.
As others have said, depending on what resolution (1920x1080?) and detail level you want to play on, you might just as well get the GTX 970 instead of 760.

Aaaaand SSD... You don't need it, but it will make "everything" faster 🙂
