Is this a good deal?

I priced this on Newegg/Tiger/Frys and all came out around $40 more expensive than this guy (I'm not even adding the OS). He (local guy and I would pick up in person) apparently runs a home business but I'm trying to figure out if this passes the sniff test. Obviously the biggest issue is how to verify if he's using the parts he's saying he's using.

Home business sellers can't beat Newegg for components and make a profit.

I'd wonder if it's a real copy of Windows 7 or one of the scams like Russian imports, keygens, MSDN / other MS subscription keys, etc.

I'd wonder if the Biostar has the fixed chipset since it's P67 not Z68 and this is Craigslist.

I'd wonder if the parts had been overclocked and overvolted.

Someone in Video Cards got a faked graphics card (cheap card with flashed BIOS so that it would report itself as a more expensive card).

Ark PSU -- I'm not familiar with that brand so I don't know whether it's junk.

THERMALTAKE SPINQ CPU COOLER -- not needed for stock speed or even a mild overclock.

.... personally I'd pay an extra $40 or more for the peace of mind of buying from Newegg instead of a white van.

This sounds HOT and I don't mean in a good way. Honestly, if this guy bought all of this and assembled himself, there is no way he is making any money.

Do you think he could have gotten the CPU from a Micro Center? The other issues still apply, though. :hmm:

Edit:
(I'm not even adding the OS).
OK, I agree, doesn't smell right.

^ oops, missed the OC, that level does need a better HSF. But add: I'd wonder how stable the OC really is.

Considering that the first Google results for "ark psu" take me to Penn State, I'd say that's not a good sign. I'd say that the PSU and OC are the only two things that really jump out at me though (not counting outright scams).
