For 1299.

I want to be able to game. Is a 8600m gt enough for 12x8 resolution? I'm not worried about pumping up the graphics. If this isn't that great for the price can someone recommend to me some better laptops?

It's OK. Sager is a good company though, but Asus has some pretty comparable models for less.

And yes the 8600m GT will be powerful enough to support that resolution.

I like my current Sager 5720. Its a 17in model, with a 7800GTX and a 2.13Ghz Dothan. Due to be replaced soon, its too slow.

The 8600M and its slightly faster version, 8700M are both too slow for my purposes though. Sager is one of the few notebook manufacturers that actually prices their models appropriately. Spec out a similar system at to what you can at PCTorgue or Sager directly at Dell, VoodooPC, or Alienware, and it will cost you double.

we're leasing a laptop from Sager and it has been a great experience. you might want to upgrade to 8800 video card and downgrade the processor to keep the price at the same lvl- just a thought. and/or go 2 GB Ram with XP professional. GL
