I apologize if this is not the correct place to post but I was wanting to know if other users thought this was a good deal.

Essentially I want a basic starter server for Linux (Apache/MySQl/PHP) - at least that is what it will be used for. If I upgrade this server box then this PC will become a guest bedroom PC for Internet/Office matters.

Black ATX case with ten drive bays and Echo Star 450-watt ATX power supply
Biostar M7VIG 400 socket A microATX motherboard features the VIA KM266 Pro+ and VT8235 chipset (S3 UniChrome Pro 2D/3D Graphics, C-Media CMI9761A 6-Channel AC'97 CODEC, and VIA VT6103 Ethernet)
Sempron 2200+ CPU
256 MB DDR RAM
IBM 30 GB hard drive
Lite-On 48x CD-ROM drive

for $214 includes everything + S&H

Feel free to suggest other options.
A PS/2 keyboard, mouse, and speaker set

Looks fine. I don't know about the price or the PSU though. I'm no expert in either. I'd probably get more ram too, but I've probably got a few gigs of DDR sitting around doing nothing. :p

fine for temporary server, id go atleast 512MB for ram and 200GB hard drives are the best bang for your buck (almost all brands approx 52 cents per GB at 200GB)

also, if its a server, it wont need speakers...if youre like most of us, id assume youve got some old ones laying around in a back closet that would do fine (same for keyboard and mouse, except for the part about not needing them)

Unless it's an audio server. :p

19.00 will add a cdrw lol, cdrw only cost 25.00 by itself  and dvdrw 40-50 bucks at newegg. the problem with having someone built is that you have to pay them labor fees, you end up with junk component. for the price you're paying you could get much better quality component if building it yourself.
labor fees? range from 50-100 bucks more
