Is this a good deal ?

Frys and Outpost has had the 6800OC on sale for $249. You just missed the sale, but they repeat sales every other week or so.

180 is to low as those 9800s for 180 are not real 9800s they have a 128bit bus instead of 256 which castrates the performance.

Best bet if you are on a budget is wait till the end of sept for Either the Nvidia 6600GT or the ATI X700XT which will both be at thr 199$ price point. And will be a decent amount faster than any 9800pro you can get your hands on.

J&R was just selling a 256-bit Visiontek 9800Pro for $149 this am. Personally, I think paying over $200 for any 9800 Pro card is not a vise move at this moment, cause the prices are just gonna start falling rapidly, IMHO.

Nope, good ol' 256-bit 9800 pros are available from 149-249 or so now (a bit more for the 256mb versions). Ever since the new gen cards became more widely available, the 9800 pro and variants have dropped pretty well.

Well I got the ATI. W like ATI hw and this baby rocks. I think its all the card I will ever need, as Iam stuck on dx8 games like cod, mohaa, and bf1942.
It's ironic that the 128 meg model was 20 bucks more.

Really? So if I miss the BFG 6800GT $350 deal, I should be able to pick it up a week to two weeks after it goes OOS? That's GREAT to know.
