a refurbished xbox 360 at 289.99. I've heared stories that say they have problems with refurbished xboxes is that y the price ism so low? should i buy it on the cheap? or buy it at the normal price? what would you do?

A refurb 360 is a really, really bad idea. Odds are very high that it will fail again. Then if you can get MS to offer warranty service it's gone for 2-4 weeks, only to be replaced with another refurb that also dies on you. Another month goes by . . .

You need to buy a 360 with HDMI port, like the holiday "Go Pro" bundle with free Forza and Marvel Ultimate Alliance for $350 list.
