No, it's not really. You can get the exact same from Apple Refurbised with a warranty for 850.

good point, comes out to $70 after tax but i the $70 is worth it for the warrenty

I think $750 would be a better deal considering for an additional $199 you could have a brand new iBook G4/800 for $999 (Educational discount)
