First off, dont by the RAM from dell, get it from crucial...

Seems a little high for only a 1.13ghz... I got a 1.0ghz 8100 last week for $1250 after rebate with pretty similiar specs... Only difference in mine was 128 ram, 1.0ghz PIII, and a DVD instead of a cdrw

Hmm I'd go full blow Dell Inspiron 8200 with the p4-M if I was going to spend that much money. A loaded dell i8100 can be had much lower, than that. Do a search in the fs/t forum. Ebay prices would be second lowest I believe. There was also a deal on a dell i8100 in the hot deals forum for less than $1000 but not as loaded.

That seems high to me... maybe you shouldn't get the 512MB ram from Dell since they overcharge on that quite a bit. It's easy to install more ram yourself in Dell notebooks (I've done it). You want the UXGA screen too? That's 1600x1200 resolution on a 15" screen... pretty small pixels. I would go with the XGA 15" at 1400x1050, the 1.0GHz instead of 1.13, and save myself some $$$. But that's just my opinion FWIW....
