I think its a good price but the website doesn't look that legit because look how many people have visited it.

Not sure... kinda iffy. There is no "legal contract" (the auction)... my $0.02.

Most OEM unbranded Kodak Gold doesn't have the "Inforguard" coating.
Still a great price, just don't expect it, The old Amazon deal didn't have it, for $30 I think.

Hi folks,

This is tjcc here. Thanks for the plug. It's been a crazy day. I am legit, I promise. I'm just a little guy, small town, local service, sell on that big auction site we all know. I'm glad someone brought up my feedback rating, I'm quite proud of that. I don't get a lot of traffic on my web site, but I did recently reset the counter when I changed formats. Besides, those counters can be artifically inflated!

To clarify, yes, these are Kodak ultima gold, 74-min, unbranded, WITH INFOGUARD. I can't verify their origin, I think it's Mexico because of certain markings on the case the 4 spindles come in. The spindle itself and the CD-Rs show no markings of where they are made.

The part number of the CDRs when I ordered them was 854 6095. If you search for that number on www.kodak.com you'll find a description. I believe Kodak changed part numbers when they certified the gold ultimas for 12x.

Yes it is true that Kodak is discontinuing their line of gold/gold, replacing it with silver/gold which they claim are just as good. We'll see. Maybe I should hang on to these for while, after they disappear, they'll be worth much more than $20 a spindle!

Enjoy!

TJ,

ohmg, are you the same TJ who used to sell computer systems on usenet in the early 90's? (Were you in Fairport then?)

note: but by the pictures on the CDR media, I bought 200 of those from Buy.com a while back, and the tops do peel. The media is great, but you need to be careful with it. The test is if you can peel the gold layer off with a fingernail... that's a bad thing.
