I want to buy a Canon Powershot Pro1 and am looking for the best deal out there (I'm trying to keep the price below $1000 CAD, shipping included).

Steer clear. The seller is a complete idiot.

They advertise it as having a 4GB flash memory card, then show a picture of an IBM Microdrive.

Also, all the accessories they list have WAYYY inflated MSRP's. That little cleaning kit costs $5, but they say it's worth "$19.99". The filters cost more like $40, not "$149". The case says "all aluminum construction", then they admit that it has PVC plastic side panels.

This guy is hyping up crap.

Plus you can get a Digital Rebel for slightly more.

By the way- from their dirty marketing tactics and shady style, I'll bet $50 that they are from Brooklyn.

I've seen this hundreds of times before. This is a common Brooklyn trait. Extremely shady individuals there- proceed with caution.

You can get a rebel for less than 900. Maybe not with all the accessories, but the body/lens of the rebel can be had for under 900 now Im sure.

it's getting a little old now, isn't it? still a great camera and all...but I'd take a look at the new panasonic fz30 maybe if you want the super zoom etc
