Is this a good cpu water block for a quad?

thats what i personally use. :T

Need a strong pump for it, and it cant be on a loop with many blocks attached for the best performance.

It will work with this pump right? The only other block I will have is a NB cooling block.
Also could you recommend a t line fitting and end cap I'm using Masterkleer 7/16D tubing
Does the EK Supreme come with metal fittings most likely extra eh
See my sig for my water cooing page to see what I'm putting together

Swiftech MCP-355

Thanks!

Hey aigomorla
do you think that this block would be the best one for an LGA771?
thanks,

Supreme/ Fuzion V2/ XSPC Edge Acrylic all good blocks. The Edge Acrylic performs a little better than the other two and is also less restrictive so that would get my vote(source) .

only in multi block configs.

drop the ek on a single loop or the dtek on a single loop with good head pressure, the XSPC has no chance to catch up.

i would not drop a supreme on a dual cpu config like a 771 setup.

I'll be running a dual cpu setup, using Y connectors for the input and output of the cpu blocks. I'm using a Laing D5 pump with 1/2 ID tubing. My case will be the cosmos S. I'll also be running two radiators. A 3 fan radiator on the top and a single fan radiator on the back. the fans on these radiators with be be exhaust fans. I haven't decided on a push-pull configuration yet...and I'll be using a T-line reservior setup. I might throw in a a 5 1/4 inch bay reservior, just because I have an extra one lying around.

I've normally used the DangerDen MC-TDX for my lga775 setups... until I just noticed a microscopic leak on the block between the acrylic and copper.... there's a reaction with the copper there :Q

make sure each pathway to the Y is = tube length or you'll botch your paralell.

Your best blocks now is the XSPC, or the D-tek Ver.1

Those show about the least flow reduction. The MPC TDX isnt a bad choice either.

As aigo said if running a wye your lengths and bends on the parralel must be equal!
I would do something like this w/ the Dtek version 1 and the swiftech NB blocks for lowest restriction. Don't use a second res as is simply does nothing but add restriction, having the T and res sepatated as far as possible will aid in filling and draining if you leave the T unattatched to the case. My T-lines are hanging loose, just tucked in near the top by the Danger Den fillports that fill the res. If they are left loose it makes flushing and draining almost easy.

XSPC acryllic top, teh winnah, jeez, you're dieing for a month and everything goes out the window, no wonder I had a heart attack!

+1 for WBs layout, if you can, get some copper wyes to keep restriction as low as possible.

thanks, Yes, the T-lines I made, 3/8" ID refer line or "soft copper" w/ 1/4" ID off that. I use a res so that is for filling and drain. For the plug it's a 1/4" barb w/ an 1/8" thread. The 1/8" thread is the same used in electric appliances and lamps. I used a brass cap w/ a rubber washer generally used for holding glass shades to cover bare bulbs. Check the thread I made for more pics, here. Hope ya get some ideas.
