No need for a TV tuner, we got tivo at the house and this will mostly be a business computer for the mom. What u guys think?

all for $2023.99 (thats with the 150 instant rebate)

i will do the $50 rebate when it comes in, got free shipping as well. Also bought a very nice printer from Epson, the Epson all in one RX700 for 400-100 rebate=300

So what u think of the system, and do u think i got a pretty good deal?

A business computer ??
Just what is going to run on that thing.
You can buy a bona fide business computer for half that price.

Yes, you don't need near that much. It is a nice nootebook even tho I might replace it with an IBM. To me you will only need 1 gig of RAM, and you will def not need a 7600 gfx card. That to me would be considered a gaming notebook.

Just make sure you get a lapttop that outputs dvi.

well she has the money, plus my theory is this"

they are making computers better every day, waht i buy for 900 today will be worse then what i buy for 900 in the next week, deals are getitng better, computers are more popular and now less expensive. This also means with the increasing change in technology that things need MORE of everything. I hope that by loading her computer up that it will last longer because it will pass above the minimum requirements for at least 5 years or more. I hate when i spend money on something and only get 2 or 3 years out of it, this way this computer is set for the future!

If she has the money then go for it. That 7600 gfx card keeps glaring at me tho. If she is not gaming then the 7600 is defintily not needed, and I do think two gigs of RAM is overkill.

Keep this in mind.....With Vista coming out in the next year any computer is sort of going to be outdated.

Edit: I reread your post and guess you bought it. It is a really nice computer and I would love to have something that nice. I am sure she will love it, I just wanted to save you some money. But other than that, your noteboopk is pretty sexy.

alot of computers though are coming "vista ready", for example this one is. The minimum requirements for Vista are way lower then everything on this laptop
