Where are you getting your pricing at? What country are you from?

Some of the parts you listed aren't even compatible with each other and that build is severely off.

CPU is incompatible (1156) with motherboard (1155).

I agree, build is a mess.

You cannot install and run Windows off of an external HD.

- You need at least one "internal" hard drive. Might as well make the Blu-Ray internal too, it's cheaper & faster.
- I wouldn't bother with another cpu cooler with an i3
- Don't spend $300 for a motherboard unless you really know you need to. You could save heaps & spend it where it's really needed. (normally the cpu costs the same as motherboard or more, and the gpu costs the most on a gaming computer)
- Make sure your cpu and motherboard fit together.

With any computer in that price range i would recomend a small ssd (like 60Gigs) just to install windows.
