is this a good case?

I had one - was decent. The PSU comes out - just means it includes one. It is a SFX form factor PSU. The case itself is designed to work with mATX motherboards where the CPU is centered in an opening created in a baffled box behind the optical drive... Supposed to separate the cool air from the warm air around the CPU to keep it from mixing.

Not all motherboards will fit nicely with that piece installed. Intel boards - mostly from a couple years ago were what it was for. If you use a different board that doesn't fit well, you have to ditch the baffle box thing.
