is this a good case and a good price for the case?

Find the one without the power supply and get a better PSU. From what I read, the power supply on the X-1 tends to fail a lot.

I am thoroughly happy with the case (got it without PSU and got a Cooler Master instead) but be warned that the side fan is a piece of junk (mine had LEDs that flickered on and off and was a bit loud --motor noise -- compared to my current Cooler Master) and the 120 mm exhaust isn't so great either (which got replaced by another Cooler Master and got another 120 mm intake --also Cooler Master). The 80 mm side fan is not in the right location. It is only used in my case to provide air to the power supply (too far above my CPU fan to do anything; besides, I'm getting a Freezer 64 Pro anyway). The toolless mounting system is very nice. Hard drive was a tough fit (rubber on the sides of the hard drive bays caused a lot of friction, but this holds the hard drive in place quite well) as was my 6800GS (extremely long card, so be careful with the expansion card mounting).

No prob. I've had this case for two months now and nothing has broken yet. Sturdy case IMO, even though it doesn't have vibration dampening feet...

EDIT: case top can get dusty very easy and it's very noticeable (due to black paint).

suggestion: insert the hard drive(s) into the bays with connectors facing the right side. that way you'll never see the cables because they'll be behind the bays. that's what i'll be doing once I get my new CPU cooler.

does it cool very well? As good as cases such as p180 or tsunami?

personally haven't tried any of those cases, but it does keep my CPU down at 28/29C idle and 42C after 30 minutes of full load.

my Silencer should get even lower temps on GPU and CPU because there's no more of that hot air flowing up the case and the Freezer should be able to bring cool air from the front of the 5.25" bays and cool the PC even more.
