Well, what's good for one person may not be good for the other :p. What's the rest of your system like (especially monitor and resolution you use)? Do you overclock? I know that if you overclock, for that price I'd recommend getting an HD4850, but I'd like to here more details.

I've got a 23" 1920x1200 monitor and want to do some high res gaming. FEAR 2, GTA4, Crysis, maybe Far Cry 2. And as for the rest of my system I currently have an Athlon X2 3800+ @ 2.6ghz, 2gb RAM, and currently a 7950GT Video Card. As for overclocking, probably not much, if any.

From the clocks is specs out on that page, it looks like that's the Superclocked card, which runs a bit more than an average 9800GTX.

You can still get new cards with those same clocks or higher, for not much more after rebate. The recert only has a 90 warranty from EVGA.

Hmmm...I thought all eVGA cards came with a lifetime warranty but good catch. :)

Any suggestions for other cards to check out? If possible I'd like to stick with eVGA...

Ideally, you're going to want either a GTX 260 or HD 4870 1GB at 1920x1200.

EVGA GTX 260 for $180 AMIR http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814130370

HIS HD 4870 1GB for $180 AMIR http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814161269

Personally I'd go for the EVGA because offer WAY better service/support than HIS, but both are good cards for your needs and certainly worth the additional $50 over that re certified 9800GTX+.

Not a big ATI fan, so that's out lol As far as the other, isn't that card you suggested and the one I linked to about the same in terms of performance? Base-line GTX260 vs top of the line 9800GTX. It's my general understanding that old gen top vs new gen bottom, usually the old gen top card wins or is about the same, but usually cheaper...
