Is this a goo 3d Mark 2001 Score for my OC?

I have a the follwoing

P4 2.4c
Abit IC7 @ 250 FSB
CPUDR 5:4
Khx 3500
AIW 9700 pro

score: 17008

should I be doing better with this setup?

Doesn't seem too bad, I got 14,000 on my XP 2600 @2.27 and a GF4 Ti4600 (305/715). Overclock that CPU and see what you can come up with.

Also, you might want to make sure you close programs running in the background like antivirus and the likes, I got a 500+ point boost that way.

Your machine signature says you are running 225FSB, but you stated 250FSB, which is it? In any case, it is already overclocked.

I have posted the score of the highest person to score a 17008 in 3Dmark2001 with default settings. I would like to mention though that of the people in that list, about 500 people scored higher all the way up to 23524 with varrying scores. Assuming you do not have FSAA enabled and are running the 3Dmark runs with everything set to default I would think you would be able to do much better. I score 14467 with a GF4 Ti4200 mildly overclocked. I could kick some @ss with a 9700 Pro...

Well, I jsut got the system so I have been playing around with FSb's and such so I got is stable with 250 FSB.

my 3d mark 03 scors liek 5300 or so. I want to get the best out of my 9700 pro so I wanted to gauge me performance here.

I score 14467 with a GF4 Ti4200 mildly overclocked.

For some reason I highly doubt that. My GeForce4 Ti4200 @ 325/650 scores 14500... and I'd hardly call that a mild overclock. Got a link to your scores?
