When using Gmail, I notice that if there have been several replies to the same original message, I experience a MAJOR lag in typing. If it's the first email or one of maybe 4 replies, things are fine. But once I'm up to around the 8th or 9th message of the series, the font will not display nearly as fast as I can type. And the same applies to trying to delete characters. If I hold down the delete key, the cursor barely moves backwards. The more replies from the original message, the slower it gets. But if I start a new email, it's back to being super fast.
Does this sound more like an issue with Gmail or with my computer? My computer at work isn't the fastest thing in the world but I don't really notice this issues when using any other type of email service. Maybe it has to do with the way Gmail compresses everything?
