Is this a gimp video card?

After all the trouble I went through to get this VisionTek GTS 32Megger, it crashes randomly in all games. Average MTBF is about 20 seconds, I'd say. My previous video card is a TnT2U, so I've been following closely on the drivers and issues surrounding them all, so I tried 5.22-5.32 and all of the 6.xx drivers to no avail. It works fine in Windows, but I didn't get this card for Windows use =\ I tried different settings in several different games without any progress, tried resituating the card in the slot.. basically everything I could think of. So, sadly, I gave up and put my TnT2U back in, and boom it acts like I never put the GTS in there.

When Windows runs fine and games do not, is that a sign of a defective core or part on the card?

I got similar problems with system crashes, possibly due to video card (I got more than one opinion on that). Everyone says that VooDoo is the most stable / compatible vid card.

P.S. Just curious, do you really run a 368 system with 10 MB HDD?

doubtful he does, how would he install an AGP or PCI vid card? I have never seen a 386 board that supports that, anyways, I would check for IRQ conflicts, and possible driver corruption. Uninstall the card physically, and try another slot, also, enter the system in safe mode, and see if multiple cards are installed in Device Mangler. completly remove all drivers, and reinstall. If that doesnt work, you may have to do some major hardware tweaking. we'll see.
