If you use the 2 sticks of 512MB and 2 sticks of 256MB together,

your system won't be running in dual channel mode, AFAIK

Video card suggestions:
~$180 - 6600GT
~$280 - X800XL

There aren't any other cards worth choosing IMO.

You probably don't want to use the 2 sticks of 256. That will hurt performance as you will have to run 2T (unless you wait for the venice core). Not sure about the dual channel.
If you are willing to deal with rebates, you can find a better deal on HD's. Just keep checking the Hot Deals section.
As for the PSU, I believe that model only has 18A @+12V. That should be enough for now, but doesn't leave much room for upgrading. I suggest budget a little more for a PSU to get a solid one.

nForce3/4 isn't like Intel 865/875. As long as he has 768MB in each channel, he'll be running dual channel.

After doing a little reasearch on PSU's I have come up wth this:
AGPB Dual Ceramic fan 500W ATX12V Power Supply With Support for Intel 915 & 925 Chipsets, Model "AP-P4ATX50F12"
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-123&depa=1

The graphics card wile almost have to be the 6600gt because the 800 is to pricey(sadly)
And I am very ignorant on the subject, when is the new core coming out? I have time because I don't have the money yet, I will be getting some every week. I orderd the case a cd burner and memory (which I am using in my current machine.) But will be getting most everything else together (unless a AMAZING HD comes along) Thanks again for all the suggestions...
