Is this a decent power supply?

I'm looking to get a new power supply, but I hear that a PSU is one of the components you don't want to skimp on. I saw this enhance 350w model at Newegg and was wondering if anyone had any feedback or experience with it. Also, if anyone knows of some good deals on quality power supplies, drop me a line. Thanks.

look up ENERMAX EG465P-VE at pricewatch. it's the 430watt Enermax I have.

see it at newegg for $81 or $85 with motherboard fan speed control for sleep mode.

Anyone have any info about this specific power supply? I think that a 400 W enermax seems like a bit of overkill for me.

I'd be comfortable buying the 350watt Enhance PSU.I'm still using the 250watt Enhance that came in my Fong Kai case.Ran my 1.33 Tbird for awhile, untill I bought a new Antec case.

That supply should work fine for you. However, personally I would fork over the extra $11 and get the Antec 350 - dual fans, better specs, proven track record.

Enhance makes good stuff, it's not junk. They've been big in the oem market for years, it's only recently that their supplies have become widely available thru retail channels. Probably a little noisier than an enermax or antec with temp controlled fans, not obnoxious though. An altogether reasonable choice.

The Enhance 350W has the same combined power as the Enermax 431W and is like half the price... only drawback is the 38cfm exhaust is kinda noisy. Go to mpja.com and buy a buncha panaflos for $20, put one in the supply and the rest in your case, you'll be all set.
