Is this a decent laptop? Mostly for net surfing, office apps, and some mid range FFS games

Not sure it is a good deal or not. I want this laptop to last at least 5 -7 years. Is it easy to upgrade? The price is $650 AR. It is a HP.

However many computer related hardware can physically last for 5-7 years, functionally Nah.

As oppose to Desktop Laptop upgrading (besides adding memory) is Not something of higher level of consideration.

Surf around find a typical Laptop from 7 years, ago and evaluate if you can really use it to day.

Deals on Laptops that were sold 7 years ago were built to accommodate Win98, many of them could not cope well with WinXP and almost none would take Vista.

Same would be 7 years from now with a laptop that yo buy today.
