Primary rig for flight simulation... will be very fast but not 100% top of the line. Expectation is that DCS or IL-2 will most likely be tapped out above 80fps 100% of the time and that's plenty fast enough for a good experience. Monitor will be running at 60Hz or 75Hz. FS2020 will probably run in the 50 fps range dipping into the 30s.

If my monitor can be set to 75 or 60 hz, there is no benefit of adaptive sync for DCS or IL-2, right? As long as the frame rate stays above the refresh rate, then I just turn on Vsync and it's all good, yes?

BUT... for FS2020, then I'll probably get stuttering any time the framerate goes below the monitor refresh rate, yes?

Am I understanding this right? That if the fps exceeds the monitor refresh rate then freesync and gsync offer no real benefit?
