Is this a common code for XP1800 B core? >KIUHB<

Never heard of it myself ,but then I'm not bang upto date

Its an XP1800 that a mate of mine has bought & should be testing its max MHz as we speak

So is it a good overclocker or not?

No, but AFAIK, an AIUHB > JIUHB.

All that can be deduced is that JIUHB > KIUHB

yes I think so. AIUHB is what most of the 2100XP's came as and above. while lower chips 1700 were JIUHB and I would guess that KIUHB is less than the J's BUt as long as a its a Rev B its probably going to do well. Anyways why don't you test it out for us and see? I did know of a site that actually told about these other steppings I don't remember what it said other than they were Rare.

If you saw this on a web site also bear in mind that 'K' is next to 'J' on the keyboard. Could just be a typo.

Nope , a friend of mine bought 1 of these chips off Dabs in the UK ,the cpu has a new type of packaging which is translucent ,apprantley it makes them near impossible to join the bridges because they are buried beneath this packaging.Of course that only matters if you want to run these cpus in dual mode.
Yes the L1 bridges are still unlocked

Anyway ,he got the cpu upto about 2150MHz @ 1.75v on his Soltek KT333 mbrd ,that's with a fairly modest HSF (Coolermaster CP5-6J31C) ,I believe he's dropped the vcore to def of 1.6v & is now running it at 2080MHz................. 40MHz faster than my cpu the git! hehe

I've now bought myself an XP1700 from the same place ,hopefully it'll overclock better than the 1 I have now
I'll update this thread when I have results

In the meantime ,has anyone else had these new packaged CPUs? or the 'KXXXX' coded CPUs?

Well ,I've got the cpu & it does seem to have the semi translucent layer on the top.

Its code is JIUCB 0325

Gonna see what it overclocks to in a min ,hoping for over 2.1GHz ,wish me luck

Damn! ,even at 1.8v I couldn't get it stable at 2064MHz ,didn't bother trying higher ,so it seems its no better than the 1700 I have!

Guess I'll have to wait until the next chip

jixhb thats the best i've heard of yet. 1.45v default. goes past 2.5+ghz on air.

be happy it o/c'd at all, i've had even worse revisions.. ack.

That explains it then ,hard enough trying to get a Tbred B let alone a specific stepping ,thanks for the info anyway.I'll keep a look out for them.

Btw2 ,selling on the XP1800 Tbred B I've got as that only does about 1.9GHz!
