Hi guys, I am pretty sure this is the issue with bios chip but just want to hear second opinion. I have this Foxconn Flamingblade lying around that I got from some1 else awhile ago, never tested. Now I put it on and saying no Ahci bios found and also saying checksum error. I replaced the bios battery with know to be good one, but still same error. I did not leave the battery out overnight though.

So do you guys think, this is a bad bios issue? I never replaced the bios, do I have to solder it, if I found a replacement bios? or bios is just snap on?

Maybe,

I have seen boards with 3rd party controller if there is no device connected to it will give no ahci bios found/loaded. for the checksum error depends on when it shows up.

I could not find an image that is high res enough to see if the bios is solder on or not.

One thing you could try is flash the latest bios revision and see what happens

Go into bios, reset optomize defaults and save and reboot and go back into bios again and see if that helps.

I had a motherboard some time past that did the same, It can also happen after bios updates and you need to clear and save all new setting again.
This also accures in bios updates that the MFG add whole new feature or move features to other locations.

Yeas, but when I try to get into bios or press f1 to load bios defaults, screen goes dark
