Is this 3dmark good for my bro's system?

My bro has:

Intel Celeron 900Mhz
384 MB SDRAM PC133 CAS 2
MSI GeForce 3 Ti 200 128 MB DDR

His 3dmark score in 3dmark 2001 SE is 4883
Is this right for his system? There is no overclocking.
Also, will this be ABLE to play Doom III when it comes out???

3DMark looks a little bit on the low side.

He should be hitting 5000-6000 with that setup.

He is very CPU limited though, and I doubt his CPU is fast enough to play Doom3.

Oh sure you can play Doom3 on that but very slowly. An yea that is a lottle low.

Sounds about right for that cpu. My bro is using my other system using a P3-850, 256MB PC100 cas2, and visiontek Ti200 64MB overclocked to 200/460. 3dmark2001se score is 5142.

It's definitely cpu limited cause i'm using the same visiontek Ti200 card, with a XP2000+ cpu, and getting scored around 6900.

Overclock that celeron, mon!!! You should be able to get to at least a 125MHz Front-side bus for a overclock of 1.125 GHz. That'll help yer score.

on those same lines, MY brother has a 700MHZ celery setup with 256MB PC133 SDRAM, so.....

which cheap video card, HAS TO BE PCI unfortunately, will allow him to play doom3, medal of honor, jedi knight, serious sam2, etc etc??

6900 seems low to me for a xp2000+...y not upgrade video card...or better yet overclock it to the limit and wait for next gen

I don't think he needs to upgrade his card, look at my sig for system, I'm getting around 7,300-7400. I'm using a slower 1800+ not overclocked and I got a better score than him. I think he should check to see if he is using the newest drivers. The driver that came with my card only gave me 6,000ish..
